LEARNING TO PLAY THE GUITAR MEANS HAVING A STRESSED LIFE!

Most people, at some point, have the desire to play a musical instrument. Among the most popular choices is the guitar… and let me tell you that beginning to play is a whole different world!

I started playing the guitar six years ago and it has by no means always been uphill when it comes perfecting the craft.

In fact, I almost gave up! After countless hours of YouTube videos, sifting through articles just there to sell guitar parts, and several courses made by music junkies, made you feel small when it came to your limited knowledge about the guitar. I became doubtful that I would ever learn to play. I even temporarily gave up.

After some time, I decided playing the guitar was still for me. I was going to power through the struggle. Let me tell you, that was a big mistake. What only should have taken me a few months to learn, took several years.

I HIGHLY recommend not taking the route I did. It wastes time, stresses you out, and cuts into your personal life. “Learning the guitar should not be that hard”.

I realized I took a much harder route than I needed to. And, over the years I have realized the pros and cons to the system I formed when learning to play. Now, I play with confidence and skill, and teach others how to play!

Six years later, after preforming/leading in numerous locations, a lightbulb went off. Thats right (it came up again), “Learning the guitar should not be that hard”!!!

I believe I have successfully conquered the guitar. But, it took about three years. Since then I have worked on systems and strategies for perfecting my craft. I now help lead worship in front of a thousand member audience at church weekly. Am I a Beethoven? Most definitely not! But, I believe I have an adequate skillset to teach others how to play the guitar, and have done just that!

It isn’t that hard… if you take the right steps (not like I did at first). I decided that I was going to create a comprehensive yet SIMPLE system for others to learn where I failed. A SIMPLE way to Conquer The Guitar and rock out.

In 2017 I started brainstorming every angle of my personal life. I would examine every struggle I had when learning… and as time progressed, I formed what I believe is the simplest way to learn the guitar for beginners!

After teaching this system to several people, I realized how many people experienced the same struggles I did and the impact it would have on others if I just got it out there. So, my brother and I created conqueringguitar.com.
